Cane Auctions in the USA News —Complete sell out!
Two highly successful cane auctions took place recently. Kimball Sterling of Paul Weisberg’s collection was a complete sell out—ALL 272 lots sold and some of the highlights include with hammer prices: artist system cane $3400, Remington Ball& claw gun $7600, Pepper Box gun$5800[ all guns sold well] , Redoubtable $5800, Silver Mason ball$4900, violin $4400 and their were some real bargains: several nauticals sold between $425-550 and a working Holuska $1,100!
AAR auction house out of Pleasant Valley New York also sold ALL 144 lots they had for sale in a timed electronic auction. The auction included 40 nauticals which ranged in hammer price from $100 to $2200[ bargains galore! Also they sold 25 Ivory handled canes as well.
These are the first two fully sold out cane auctions we have had for years [ Skinner had an auction recently which included many high end nauticals, also sold out completely]
